The Hilberry Theatre Company fosters the interrelationship between the classroom and the community through educational excellence and professional entertainment.
It is the nation’s first and only graduate repertory theatre company, charged with presenting six classic and modern plays in rotating repertory from October to mid-May. The company is composed of 40-45 actors, costume, lighting and scenic designer-technicians, stage managers and theatre managers who work under the direction of a professional staff. The members of the company, chosen in nationwide auditions and interviews, receive training that leads to graduate degrees in acting, directing, design, or management.
