A Renowned dancer, choreographer and the Artistic Director of Spotlight Dance Works located in Chesterfield, MI.  Schmidt's work with Spotlight has garnered her and the company numerous accolades, including being named Best Contemporary Choreographer of 2008 by Dance Teacher Magazine. Recently, Schmidt was honored with the Arts Achievement Award from the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University.
