Free Art Friday

Free Art Friday is a free art scavenger hunt designed to promote creativity, celebrate art, and explore Detroit.

Here's how it works:
1. An artist creates a custom piece of art – anything from a painting to a screenprint to a sculpture.
2. They write their Twitter handle and the hashtag #FAFDET as well as "Facebook: Free Art Friday Detroit" on the back of the piece. They may even include a note offering more instructions.

Mic Write

Mic Write is a hip-hop artist and poet from Detroit and also a part of the rap group Cold Men Young (named after Detroit’s first black mayor Coleman Young). Write usually breaks down how he works on his website and it functions and a journal of sorts for him. He’s a Kresge Literary Arts Fellow so he’s got some recognition around the city.

Motor City Dance Factory

Founded in 2001, Motor City Dance Factory has been building dancers for over a decade. Led by Studio Director, Camille Johnson, MCDF offers a plethora of classes for everyone at every age.
