Alphonso Cox is a Detroit native, and is a self-taught artist. Growing up sketching and drawing things, his life experiences now are what drive and inspire him to create new things. He calls himself a scientist of colors, and uses various materials and supplies to create his pieces. He uses everything from ink and oil, to acrylic, and charcoal. He’s had his art displayed in galleries here in Detroit, and in the Chicago area.
