Girls Rock Detroit is a community organization dedicated to fostering creative expression, positive self-esteem and community awareness for girls, women, gender non-conforming, and transgender people through music education and performance.
Marlo Broughton
Marlo Broughton is a pop artist and designer from Detroit, MI. Marlo’s artistic career started when he was introduced to members of Finally Famous which ultimately lead him to working on mixtape artworks and branding for Big Sean’s early indie career.
Marlo began as a graffiti artist before moving on to studying industrial design at Wayne State University. Now, Marlo makes acrylic paintings on canvas and large-scale mural paintings. He also collaborates commercially.
His work is exhibited in galleries including 1XRUN and PLAYGROUND DETROIT. Marlo also has painted murals for Murals in the Market.

Beta Camp
Beta Camp is a Detroit-based alternative rock band made up of members Nick An-derson, Christian Hall, Hunter Lukas, and Alex Pineau. Their 2017 debut album Violent Honey, which includes their hit songs Asleep at the Wheel and Settle In, was released to a packed house at the Loving Touch in Ferndale. Since then, they’ve played all around the metro area, including multiple shows at the Pike Room and Crofoot in Pon-tiac.
